Victor Moses Beats Mikel To Become Nigerian Footballer Of The Year 2013
Besides the reward for Footballer of The Year also other Nigeria Sports Awards winners were presented. Stephen Keshi was named Nigerian Coach of The Year, while Perpetual Nkwocha was announced Female Footballer of the Year.
In other football related categories Nigeria Football Federation President Alhaji Aminu Maigari won the award for Sports Administrator of the Year.
Victor Moses, who this year won the AFCON with Super Eagles and UEFA Europa League with Chelsea was also named Sports Man of the Year. Track and field star Blessing Okagbare won the award for Sports Woman of the year.

Fashion: "Invisible" Panties Made Of Plastic Straps & Towel
There are a number of underwear designs made to eliminate a visible panty line, but one in particular has been making the rounds online for its bizarre and unconventional look. Made by a brand called Babapanty, Invisible Panties are essentially three strategically placed silicone straps connected with what look like white paper clips.
Two of the straps go between the legs and cradle a square piece of cloth against the crotch. The brand has launched a Kickstarter to fund the project, with a goal of raising $10,000. Unsurprisingly, however, it has only had five backers so far who've donated $110 altogether, most likely because of its odd and uncomfortable-looking design. More after the break
Woman Bites Off Man’s Manhood In Ibadan
A middle aged woman, identified as Kemi on Sunday evening was reported to have bit off the manhood of her neighbour around Inalende area of Ibadan.
Kemi was said to have resorted to biting, according to an eyewitness, after she was thoroughly beating by the man, identified simply as Rasheed.
It was gathered that issues on how to settle a misunderstanding between Rasheed’s wife and another neighbour degenerated into a violent fight.
It was during the fight that Kemi angrily tore her victim’s (Rasheed) dress, held his manhood and bit it off.
Aside from the manhood which was bitten off, she also inflicted a big sore on the man’s abdomen.
Rasheed was later rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital in the area for medical attention while Kemi was handed over to the police.
While speaking with Daily Sun Kemi said: “He reported me and my friend to my friend’s mother in-law after she arrived at our house and thereafter started to beat me and when nobody rescued me from him, I bit him but I do not know it was his joystick.”
The mother of two further said they had not been on speaking terms since she relocated to the area in June and Rasheed’s wife had not been greeting her and her friend.
“My friend, Adijat, has not been greeting and talking with Rasheed’s wife, I know that was why he decided to engage me in a fight,” she said.
Police sources said Kemi would be charged to court soon upon completion of investigations.

Student to die by hanging for stealing mobile phone & recharge cards
According to a report by Thisday,
a High Court in Effurun, Delta State, has sentenced a 24-year-old
secondary school student, Moses Akatugba, to death by hanging for stealing mobile phones and recharge cards. Read the report below and
tell us if you think the sentence is appropriate or too harsh
"Akatugba was convicted on a two-count charge of conspiracy and armed robbery in contravention of Section 6 (b) and punishable under section 1 (2) (a) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act Cap R11 Volume 14 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
The prosecution told the court that the convict with others now at large “robbed one Mrs. Akpor Mazino of the sum of N113,930, three phone handsets, 54 various denominations of MTN recharge vouchers, 28 Airtel vouchers and 25 Glo vouchers valued at over N100,000 at No. 30 NNPC Housing Complex Road, Ekpan.”
The victim in her evidence gave a vivid account of how she was robbed of the items at her shop at gunpoint.
An Asaba High Court also yesterday sentenced a 30-year-old commercial
motorcyclist, Paul Nwanegbo to 15 years imprisonment with hard labour
for robbing a female passenger of her telephone handset. The incident,
according to prosecution took place along Direct Labour Agency Road,
Asaba, on October 5, 2011 before the ban on operation of commercial
motorcyclists in Asaba metropolis and other designated cities.
The female passenger, Amaka Okafor told the court that on “realising
the gun was a toy, I resisted him but he overpowered me after biting me
with his teeth and snatched my phone from me.”

Late Festus Iyayi’s Relatives Demand N50bn Compensation From Gov. of Kogi State
The traditional ruler of Ugbegun land, Edo State, hometown of former President of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Professor. Festus Iyayi, who died in an auto crash, Wednesday on Lokoja-Abuja road, HRM, Samuel Obade I, Onojie of Ugbegunland and his people, are demanding a compensation of N50 billion to be paid to the immediate family of the late professor by the Kogi State governor, Captain Idris Wada.

Asuu To Call Off Four Month Old Strike In Honour Of Late Pof. Festus Iyayi
Information reaching us now are indicating that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) may end its four-month old strike today, (Saturday, November 16).
About 120 chapters of the union have voted in support of the decision to end the strike at their various congresses held in their institutions.
Although,the National Executive body of the union has not ratified the decision to terminate the strike.
A Pro-Chancellor of the University of Benin, Senator Effiong Bob, urged ASUU to end the strike in honour of Late Fetus Iyayi, a former president of the union.

Enugu state First Lady denies being detained by husband, Gov Chime
Also present were the governor’s siblings, Mrs. May Oji and Dr. Jide Chime, as well as Mrs. Chime’s neuro-psychiatric doctor, Dr. Aham Agumuo, among a few others. At the interview session, the governor’s wife denied sending any petition to the National Human Rights Commission alleging unlawful detention by her husband.
