Benin stands for Glo Laffta Fest…as Burna Boy, Salvador, Wande Coal, Basket mouth, 14 other stars thrill audience

The Acient City of Benin, Edo State Capital, on Sunday took its turn to fully savour Africa’s biggest comedy show as Globacom staged the Glo Laffta Fest in the city. The show paraded a galaxy of comedians and musicians that serenaded the live audience with a cocktail of premium jokes.

From the start to the end of the show held at the Flamingo hall of Best Western Homevielle Hotel, it was fun, dance and laughter all the way as the artistes gave
the audience
value for their time. There was never a dull moment from the time ace comedian, Basketmouth opened the show and MCed till the time the sensational music act, Wande Coal, said “bye, bye,” with his popular track, The kick.
Welcoming the huge crowd to the show, Basketmouth fired the first Salvo as those in attendance laughed almost endlessly to his opening jokes on the proliferation of churches in Nigeria. He assed that soon, some would attempt to establish the “Church of God Mosque”.
While Klint D Drunk was at the peak of his “drunkeness” for the night, the likes of  I Go Save, Funny Bones, Buchi, Okey Bakassi, Dan D Humorous, Julius Agwu, Akpororo and Bovi, brought to the fore the exceptionality of the Nigerian comedy as they made jest out of the day-to-day activities that have heightened tension in the country.
I Go Save, for instance, concentrated on the distinctive tendencies of the Warri residents, just the same way Buchi dramatized the ingenuity of music producers in the country. But Dan D Humorous tilted his performance a bit and praised Globacom for the uncommon support it has given to Nigerian football.
Salvador, the Ugandan sensational merchant of jokes, was at his best elements during the show, making the crowd to reel with laughter as he demonstrated the failed beer advert in Uganda by some celebrities who were commissioned to advertise the beer but got drunk in the process. Bovi, the last of the comedians to perform, gave interesting comparison between how lovers in the western world and those in Nigeria made love advances. He urged Nigerian lovers “to keep it simple.”
The trio of Burna Boy, Wande Coal and Franchiez who excited the audience with their arts were in top form. Wande Coal and Franchiez held the crowd spellbound with the rendition of their different hit tunes such as “pere”, “bumper-to-bumper” and “the kick”.
